Diamonds in the Ropes Shawl
This pattern is for the more experienced knitter. This pattern is a completely graphed out lace pattern and is worked in the Orenburg style of lace shawls. Although it is knitted in a garter stitch (with the lace additions of yo, k2tog, k3tog, etc), it also uses short rows to create the corners and has a small grafting at the end to create a seamless edging all the way around the edge. It also requires the knitter to be able to keep track of a number of different patterns that are worked simultaneously.
Would be lovely in Poems Sock, Saki Bamboo, Whisper Lace, Alpaca Lace, Heritage, Kid Seta, Cherub Baby, Baby Ull, On Line Supersocke, or Huasco yarns.
