Classes this Week...






Dotted Tank KAL (knit-along): Thursdays, May 2nd and 16th, 11 - 12
Fee: Instruction is free; all supplies purchased at Warm Hearts Yarn specifically for this KAL will receive a 10% discount
Instructor: Katie Brousseau

Description: During this KAL, we will be knitting the Dotted Tank from Vogue Knitting Magazine, Spring/Summer 2013 (p. 62). The Dotted Tank features flattering vertical striping, a slipped stitched pattern, and short rows. The yarn called for is Cotton Supreme, one of our favorite cotton yarns from Universal.

Beginning Spindle Spinning Class: Saturday, May 4th, 10a.m. to 1p.m.
Fee: $40 includes all of the supplies you need to get started with spindle spinning!
Instructor: Anne Podlesak of Wooly Wonka Fibers

Description: Interested in creating your own yarn? Spindle spinning is a great way to get started on the basics of turning fiber into yarn. It's portable and fun, and no spinning wheel is required. This class will feature introductory information on selecting fiber, learning how to prepare commercial top for spinning, and tips and techniques regarding the spinning process. The class fee will include a beginning mid-weight spindle, fiber to learn with, a handout to take home so you can continue to practice, and several hours of hands-on instruction time in class.

Introduction to Cross-Stitch: Saturday, May 4th, 1-3p.m.
Fee: $18 includes all supplies; Instructor: Laurie McFarland

Description: In this introduction to cross-stitch class, Laurie will provide participants with the knowledge of all you need to know when getting started with cross-stitch, as well as tips and tricks to help you along to higher-level projects. The fee includes a kit that will provide participants with everything they need for their first project.
