Scarf/Hood and Wrist Warmers

"You could call it a cowl, a snood or a tube scarf," suggests Soucy. "It's quick to knit and snuggly to wear, and with the wrist warmers makes a great gift. Includes a lace-edged option. One size fits xx small through xx large. The red yarn is the Punta Yarns Merisoft wool, and the camel color is Frog Tree Alpaca worsted weight, both wonderfully soft and luxurious." Here are all the benefits of both scarves and sweaters, without the possible boredom of knitting the former, or cumbersome bulk of the latter (or expense, for that matter-- the scarf/hood takes only 450 yards/412 metres). And they have looked good for literally a thousand years, and will continue to delight for the next thousand. All pieces worked entirely in the round; hood is an inverse goblet shape.

Suggested Yarns - Casablanca, Cherub Aran, Eco Duo, Pacific, Pima Silk, Classic Shades, Cotton Supreme, Good Earth, Poems, Pima Silk, Cascade 220 ®, or 220 Superwash.
