Classes this week - Hat, Quilt, & Tank

Dead Fish Hat – Get Started WorkshopSept. 10, 5 – 7 pm



Join Heidi with this free getting started workshop and knit the dead fish hat. While this class is only one session long, there will be additional help available as needed.



Heidi found this to be a bit big so she is suggesting a smaller gauge to adjust this pattern a bit smaller.



You will need to bring the following supplies:
*A copy of the pattern - http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter08/PATTfishy.php
*Approx. 350-400yd yarn, in a combination of colors or self striping yarn. Use any colors you like, and vary the stripes as you please!
*1 set US #7/4.5mm double-point needles or 2 circular needle sets
*Safety pin or split ring marker, small stitch holder, black yarn or embroidery floss, small amount of white felt, white sewing thread, and tapestry needle.
*Small stitch holder


No registration necessary.



Block of the Month Club: second Saturday of each month starting April 13th, 11am-noon, next class 14 Sept.

Fee: $30 includes kit and instruction (there are only ten kits available each month, so please be sure to sign up in advance!), $10 includes instruction only.

Knitted in 3 skeins of Sunseeker. Variation - garter stitch border on the hem and neckline and sleeves.



Sizes - to fit bust size 30(34-38-42-46-50)”



Materials Needed:
*Copy of the pattern
*Yarn – 600 (600, 700, 800, 900, 1000) yds of worsted weight yarn
*Straight knitting needles size 8 (5 mm) or size to obtain gauge, 16” length circular knitting needle size 6 (4 mm), one stitch marker
