Classes this Week

Skill Building Block #1 – Just Knit

The 1st block in our skill building set takes garter stitch and gives it a twist. Working with two colors on a cable needle you will change colors each time by slipping the stitches to the other side when needed to access the other color for a unique texture and color effect with only the knit stitch.

We will be focusing on a new skill every two weeks and learning it by making small (36 stitches x 50 rows) blocks. Skill building blocks can be used for many purposes. Sew them together to make afghans, pillow covers or even sweaters. Make them longer for scarves. Do them in cotton for dishcloths or facecloths. The possibilities are endless.

Date: Tuesday, 24 March from 4:30 to 6:30
Instructor: Heidi Narum
Fee: Free – no registration is required.

2 colors of yarn of your choice.
