Don't Be A Square, Learn to Knit, Afghan Knit-Along, Block Five - Check It - Tuesday

If you know how to knit and purl but are ready for the next step this KAL (Knit-Along) is for you. We will be joining Universal Yarn and Amy Gunderson for this KAL and you will have the added benefit of hands on help from Heidi. Feel free to jump in any time, we will help you catch up, or you can pick up the blocks you missed at the end. Don't want an afghan? The blocks can be used as fingerless mitts or make them out of Cotton Supreme and use them as dishcloths.

Block Five is called “Check It” for obvious reasons – it uses slipped stitches to create a colorful checkerboard.  It’s a clever way to create blocks of color without a lot of picking up and dropping of yarn as you go.  As usual, Amy Gunderson has provided us with a video to demonstrate.
