Classes this week = Beginning Knitting and Basketweave Dishcloth

Beginning Knitting Class:  Due to the popularity of this class we are offering 3 sessions - pick one. ***Rescheduled for Saturday, October 5th, 2-4pm, Tuesday, October 8, 5-7pm, and Saturday, October 12, 2-4pm***

Instructor: Katie Brousseau (Saturday) or Heidi Narum (Tuesday)
Fee: $20 includes ALL supplies necessary to get you started knitting!

Description:
This beginning knitting class is for the absolute beginner! Participants will be introduced to the wonderful world of knitting with learning to cast on, the knit stitch, and bind off. We will also go over gauge and caring for hand-knits.
Ages 9 and up are welcome to participate; limit: 6

 

Dishcloth Series (first of series): Basketweave Dishcloth

Two choices for days/times: Tuesday, October 8th 10-11am OR Thursday, October 10th, 5-6pm

Fee: Free! Pattern will be provided during the class.

The recommended yarn for all of the classes is Cotton Supreme (solids, we don't recommend black while learning) and a pair of either a size 7 or 8 knitting needles.

During this first dishcloth series class, we will be focusing on the purl stitch. Prerequisite skills: cast on, bind off and knit stitch. We hope to see you there!
