Don't Be  A Square, Learn to Knit, Afghan Knit-Along, Seaming

This week we will have a demonstration on blocking acrylic yarn. We will also be seaming our afghans together. You don't have to be part of the KAL to come and learn.

It’s all coming together – literally!  Time to seam up your squares into a glorious and unique creation.  Lay ‘em out, decide where you want them to go, and then turn your 20 little learning blocks into one beautiful whole.  We've got a .pdf file with tips, and videos on not one but two methods of linking everything together. - http://blog.universalyarn.com/2015/01/05/afghan-knitalong-seaming/

Children's Class - Learn to Knit!: Wednesdays, February 4th, 11th and 18th; 2-3pm

Instructor: Katie Brousseau
Fee: $30 (plus tax) includes all supplies (book, yarn and needles)

During this three-week class (Wednesdays Feb 4th, 11th, and 18th), students will learn the basics of knitting (the cast-on, knit stitch, bind-off and seaming) while creating a one-of-a-kind project of their choice.

While children of all ages are capable of knitting, we do suggest a minimum age of seven to help avoid frustration due to developing fine motor skills. Please email Katie at katie@warmheartsyarn.com with any questions.

To register, please stop on by the shop, call us at (505) 672-2008 or send an email to classes@warmheartsyarn.com. We appreciate 24 hour class registration notice so we are best able to prepare for our students. Thank you!
