What's New

We are excited to have several new items in the shop, just in time for Valentine's Day shopping. Christina from From Birdie's Nest created three, one-of-a-kind wreaths for V-Day decor.
We also have several options for general sentiment and Valentine's Day cards.
We are excited to announce that we have a new vendor with lots of fun gift items--handmade tea towels, embellished soaps, vintage and vintage-styled gifts.
Julia of Peachy Beads created a beautiful pair of heart and pearl earrings with a matching necklace.
We also have some fun, handmade soap, lip balm, and lotion balm from Amateur Chemistry Lab.
As always, there is much more in the shop, so please come on by!

We will be continuing Pacific Chunky and Pacific Chunky Multis as our Yarn of the Week. They will receive 10% off at check-out from Monday, January 28th through Saturday, February 2nd.

Have a wonderful week!

Yarn of the Week: Pacific Chunky

The Yarn of the Week for January 21st-26th is Cascade's Pacific Chunky. This chunky-weight yarn is 40% merino wool and 60% acrylic. It is machine washable and very versatile. I used it about a month ago to make Matt's Christmas Balaclava. Cascade offers free patterns for Pacific Chunky HERE, and below you will find a list of patterns that would also work up beautifully in this yarn.

As our Yarn of the Week, Pacific Chunky and Pacific Chunky Multis are all 10% off (effective January 21st-26th, 2013; offer available for in-stock items only).

GAP-tastic Cowl (ravelry link)

Man Hat (note: machine-washable!)

Shalom (note: Katie knit this in the fall and would be happy to help anyone with questions)

As a reminder, the shop is OPEN tomorrow, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, from 10am-3pm.

Warmly,
Katie and Heidi

While the class meets three times, Heidi will be available during store hours to help with any questions or problems that arise.

Participants will need to have either of the books (marked at 20% off retail value at the shop), plus enough yarn to make a sweater, needles and other supplies consistent with making a sweater. All yarn purchased specifically for this class will receive a 10% discount.

A copy of the pattern in either adult or child size is provided with the cost of the class. Needle felting supplies will be available for use during the embellishment class.
